Opportunity
Building organic growth in one of the hardest niches in search.
When BQP came to Scale Theory, organic growth was reset entirely.
A site migration had wiped existing performance and left the domain starting from a clean slate. There were zero non-branded clicks, no discoverability even for brand name searches, and no presence in the LLM-driven discovery channels where their ICP was already beginning to research solutions.
What made it harder was the nature of the market. Quantum-inspired simulation for aerospace and defence doesn't carry broad search volume, and the ICP is highly specialized. Generic content and standard SEO tactics wouldn't move the needle here. Every part of the strategy had to be built for a very specific buyer, searching for a very specific set of problems.
The challenges were compounding:
- A site migration that caused a clean-slate reset on all organic performance
- Zero non-branded clicks and no discoverability beyond existing brand searches
- A highly niche domain with limited search volume and a specialized ICP
- No established market visibility in their target space
- Zero presence in LLM-driven discovery channels

Vijay needed net-new organic traction in a market where most standard approaches simply wouldn't work. The strategy had to build domain authority from the ground up, capture the available high-intent traffic rather than wait for volume to grow, and establish BQP's presence in AI search before competitors in their niche recognized the opportunity.

Rather than waiting for slow compounding effects from broad content, Scale Theory built BQP's organic presence rapidly and with clear intent.
The strategy ran on five tracks simultaneously:
- Bottom-of-funnel content from day one: High-intent BOFU/MOFU pages were prioritized first, targeting visitors closest to a buying decision rather than building awareness traffic that wouldn't convert
- Pillar-Cluster architecture: Core themes were structured with pillar pages and supporting clusters, giving search engines a clear topical authority signal in BQP's niche space
- Targeted authority building: A focused backlink programme ran alongside content production, establishing domain credibility in a space where trust signals carry significant weight
- Parallel LLM investment: AI discovery strategy was implemented from the start, not treated as a future initiative, targeting the channels where BQP's ICP was actively researching solutions
- Continuous technical hygiene: Site crawlability, indexation, and technical SEO were monitored throughout to ensure no structural issues slowed compounding growth
Results
767% clicks growth. 68x impressions. A channel built from nothing.
Every result below was achieved within 10 months, from a standing start.
Organic clicks grew from 288 to 2,500 per month, a 767% increase. Total impressions moved from 10,000 to 680,000, a 68x jump. These are not incremental improvements on an existing base. They represent a channel that did not exist before.
BQP went from 0 to 1,800 non-branded clicks per month. Before Scale Theory, every visitor already knew the company name. Now 1,800 people a month are finding BQP through search with no prior awareness.
Organic leads followed: 0 to 10 qualified leads per month, a new pipeline contribution created from zero.
Scalable articles alone generated 120,000 impressions and 270 clicks per month within three months of going live.
LLM Sessions grew from approximately 50 to 500 per month, driven primarily by non-branded queries. Conversions from AI search channels, which were zero at the start, now come in at consistent double-digit figures.
